Omology offers yoga classes to the community, led by well-trained, professional instructors. Each class is designed to empower the student and honour the value that each unique body brings to the mat.

Omology yoga aims to serve each individual toward their union to the universal. We do this by opening a non-competitive, friendly atmosphere, that encourages a transparent link between student and teacher, and a communion between students.

Omology equips students with the tools they need to develop a personal practise, and to omit the principles of yoga into their personal, professional and purposeful life. At omology, we honour the unique tapestry of each individual as they come to the mat. Everyday brings new challenges, new aches and new progress to acknowledge and to celebrate. We aspire to empower each student to leave the mat as an omologist, a person aware and connected to their own divinity.

Yoga translated means to yoke, to unite. Separateness causes suffering. Separateness from our true selves, from each other, from the natural world around us and from universal divinity. At OMOLOGY, we aim to serve the social need to dissolve our illusioned separateness through yoga.

We start and end each practice by chanting OM (Aum) to connect with the divine in ourselves, each other and everything that is, was and will be.

P R I N C I P L E S

Gratitude – An awareness that it is a blessing each time you are able to come to the mat to practise. We encourage a mindful practice, ensuring that both teacher and student are listening to rhythm that the body offers in the given moment.

Grace – Nurturing the loving energy of our divinity to experience a richer, deeper and more meaningful practise.  By bringing grace into our practice, we welcome an acceptance of situations that arise in our mind, body and spirit.

Growth – Each time you attend class, not only should you be pleased with yourself, but know that you have made a real difference to the world around you. In yoga, just a millimetre of earnt flexible can mean your body can shift into a pose you have worked hard towards. We believe the same is true of the world, small, intentional, consistant movement towards a goal, can lead to real change.
